Brent is 1 of 32 London boroughs. But it’s unlike anywhere else.
1 in 32 is a bold new documentary and community platform exploring power, inequality and radical imagination in Brent. Led by 10 local community reporters with the support of The Equality Trust this project gathers real voices from across the borough asking what people love about Brent, what needs to change and how we create a future rooted in inclusion, justice, kindness and psychological safety.
Brent has lost 80% of its central government funding since 2010 — this is unsustainable. Local government cannot rely on selling off assets and private developers alone. The illusion of public spaces that are privately owned. Civic spaces must belong to the community.
This is our call for change. This is our power. This is Brent.
